Burney was born
on March 23, 2005 in Grants Pass, Oregon.
Lauren was horse sitting that day, and she was the
first one to see this beautiful new colt shortly
after he arrived.
Lauren and
Burney began bonding that very day and they continue
on into today. Christmas day of 2006 Burney became
Lauren's very first horse.
Amber Owens is Lauren and Burney's
trainer. She has taught Lauren how to drive
and Burney how to be driven. They have been
showing together during 2008 at 2009 at the Northwest Shows.
Amber and Burney went to the AMHR
National Show in Tulsa, Oklahoma in 2008 and Burney became a top ten Country Pleasure Horse, Versatility
Horse and Hunter Horse.
In 2009
he kicked butt at the AMHR National Show
with Lauren, Amber and Sheryl.
Coco was our escort at the National Show.
She is a Border Terrier who was 4 months
old when we got her picture sitting in the basket
of our scooter.
Burney, a 2005 palomino
gelding, was
Lauren's Christmas present in 2006. Since she was the one
who first saw him when he was born it was only fitting that he become
her very own horse.
Burney is a
favorite at the shows to come out
and meet new
visitors. He was a great ambassador
at the
Monroe, Washington show in 2008 and
received a lot
of pets for his trouble!
Lauren, Burney and
Sheryl will be back out in 2011
at the Northwest shows and again at the AMHR National Show
with plans to add the AMHA World Show next year also
Lauren and Sheryl wish to thank our
trainer, Amber Owens, for making our
little Burney such a successful and fun
show horse. We love them both!
